Retreat 21 is located in the rural countryside of Marysville, Ohio! We’re surrounded by the beauty of nature and that means endless photo opps.
Here are just some of our favorite scenic spots for engagement photos, bridal party pictures, family portraits, or even creative headshots when you visit us!

Covered Bridges
Union County is home to seven covered bridges, each full of charm and history!
Thompson Road Covered Bridge is nearest Retreat 21, a modern recreation after a flood washed out the original bridge. The rustic Pottersburg Covered Bridge is a short ride away in North Lewisburg on a multi-purpose trail, making it ideal for foot traffic. Throughout the summer and fall, Pottersburg Covered Bridge is also the venue for locally-sourced lunch and dinner events!
Check out the Covered Bridge Trail Pass for easy-to-follow navigation and special offers along the way. (Many of these bridges are located on active roadways, so use caution when visiting.)
Milford Center Prairie
Milford Center Prairie is located in the historical Darby Plains. This small strip of grass (about 1.5 miles long) is brimming with plant life! The site supports at least 57 different species of prairie plants including, royal catchfly, smooth rose, and stiff goldenrod.
Wildflowers are at their peak in the prairie during late July and August, creating a dreamy photo backdrop, and can be accessed by a mowed path down the center of the field.

Glacier Ridge Metro Park
In nearby Plain City, Ohio you ‘ll find Glacier Ridge Metro Park. The 1,032-acre park features a variety of stunning spots, including: boardwalk through the Honda Wetlands Area, several wooded trails, and obstacle course, and a 25-foot tall observation tower.
